Kasol is a small hilltop destination with a number of things to explore in and around, Still, 2 days are ideal to explore the place. In the while here are the top things, one can do in kasol in the span of 2 days.
1. MANIKARAN SAHIB :
One exploring this beautiful hilltop can’t afford to miss this gurudwara located just 2 km from the kasol, tourist can also do the trails from the jungle to reach manikaran or take HRTC buses from the kasol main market. Manikaran is one of the sacred places among Sikhs and Hindus. Manikaran offers the best view of the Parvati river from the Bridge, which connects the gurudwara from the other end.
Next to the Manikaran sahib, there is also a shiv temple and Lord Rama temple. Also, Manikaran has a Hot water spring and langar facility for all day.
2. KASOl FLEA MARKET :
The one thing anyone noticed while entering here, is kasol local market with full of local handicraft products, textiles, and souvenir shops. yet this is a small market but full of restaurants, cafes, hotels, and shops. Undoubtedly kasol market is one of the centers of the Destination which makes this hilltop a more livable and trendy spot.
3. EXPERIENCE VARIETIES OF LOCAL FOOD IN KASOL
Kasol offers varieties of food to tourists. As the more number of tourists come here in huge number. hence the number of restaurants offering varieties of cultural food. You can easily find Punjabi, Gujarati, or south Indian dishes in restaurants. But I would definitely suggest you try siddu, a local Himachali dish and also you can try Israeli dishes in kasol.
4. WEEKEND MUSIC FEST
Indeed, weekends are the most crowded time in kasol, with the major number of tourists coming from Chandigarh and Delhi. Since this is the time most of the cafes and events organizers organize the night music fest in chalal village in kasol. MUST DO TREKS STARTS FROM KASOL
Kasol has one of the best treks of Himachal, and people from all around came here in big numbers just to explore the beauty of Parvati valley. If you are a trek lover like me, then these are the trek you must do it once in your lifetime.
1. KHEERGANGA TREK
Kheerganga trek, a 16 km trek starts from Barsheni village, an hour of drive from kasol. kheerganga is an easy to moderate level trek with some steep with beautiful valley around. There are many stops and canteens on the way, it would roughly take you 4-5 hours to reach kheerganga. the kheerganga valley is beautiful valley, you can stay there for the night, camps are easily available at the top.
2. SAR PASS TREK
Sar pass in long trail trek starts from the kasol main market via Grahan village. and took 4 days and average to complete. yet some professional trekkers have done this trek in 2 nights and 3 days. it’s a moderate level trek with average trekking of 8-9 km per day. Grahan, min thatch, naggaru, sar pass, biskeri tatch are the stop on the way. unlike kheer Ganga trek, sar pass trek doesn’t have cafes and restaurants after Grahan village. this trek ended up at barsheni village.
3. CHALAL VILLAGE TREK
Chalal trek is an hour trek, starting from the kasol main market and leading to the chalal village. the most happening village in the town. chalal trek is an easy level trek, where you walked along with the Parvati river throughout the journey. on the way to chalal, you experience some delicious Israeli food, wooden crafted cafes, and hilltop homestays.
4. TOSH VILLAGE TREK
Tosh village trek is a 4 km trek starting from Barsheni, it’s an easy level trek that took you around 2 hours to reach the tosh village. You can either stay in tosh for the night or do the same day return to barsheni. Meanwhile, tosh attracts more attention for people who are seeking a less crowded place to spend quality time surrounded by ice-capped mountains.

SUMMER SEASON: March to June
MONSOON SEASON: July to October
WINTER SEASON: November to February
Although Kasol welcome tourists through the years. But this hilltop covers with snow for the winter season from January and February. Still, People from all around come here to experience the different shades of kasol.
Even Though I would recommend you guys to explore this beautiful destination between June to November, this is a time when the weather remains pleasant and enjoyable.

TRAVEL TIPS & ADVICE
- Carry a warm jacket & inners as the winter remains cold in kasol.
- Keep a raincoat/ poncho while packing, the weather in mountains is unpredictable.
- Carry minimum luggage, only necessary if you are planning for the mountains treks.
- Local transports stop functioning after 6 in the evening, after that you can only avail of Cabs.
- The flea market opens till 8, but cafes and restaurants open till midnight.
